MALMÖ/OSLO, JUNE 19 2017, The Norwegian Football League, Norsk Toppfotball and Spiideo have signed an agreement for Spiideo to provide clubs and arenas in the Norwegian First League, Eliteserien with video solutions for match and training analysis. Already in July, in a pilot, the first 5 clubs will be equipped with the system in order for it to be available during the second half of the 2017 season. Pending an evaluation, the ambition is to have the system fully rolled out to the entire Eliteserien in time for the start of the 2018 season. Similar to the recently announced setup with the Swedish Football League and Spiideo, the system will deliver high resolution panoramic footage of the entire pitch for coaches and analysts to take advantage of.

This is a great step forward to improve the overall video analysis capabilities for teams and clubs in the Norwegian League. It is really powerful both from a tactical analysis perspective in first teams, as well as for individual talent development in the academies”, says Jo Bergsvand, Norsk Toppfotball

The system includes 4k cameras covering the entire pitch and when the system is recording a match or a practice the coaching team can instantly watch sequences or player positions from different angles of the pitch on a smartphone or tablet. The coach or analyst can zoom in or out in the footage, pause, rewind, create clips etc – and then immediately jump back to real time viewing.

“We are very pleased that we now, together with Norsk Toppfotball, are able to provide this solution also widely to Norwegian football clubs searching to improve working with video analysis for advanced team- and player development”, says Patrik Olsson, CEO of Spiideo

The Spiideo system can be used across all the teams in the club from the first team to the academy.
