Press release summary:

Spiideo in collaboration with Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN), have successfully provided more than 200 country coaches and over 600 swimmers from 47 countries, with high quality real-time video capturing services at the 2015 European Short Course Championships in Netanya, Israel (2-6 Dec, 2015) For the first time ever, this type of complete competition recording was made available as a packaged service for athletes and coaches, to support advanced performance analysis during, as well as after the competition. Instead of spending time on occupied video recording equipment, coaches could focus on the athletes and real live action, assured they still would be able to get detailed high quality footage after the races.

“We selected Spiideo because we wanted an efficient service that automatically could deliver realtime high quality images of all races and all lanes, which Federations then conveniently could take advantage of for their detailed analysis, on site or remote”, Says Marco Birri, LEN Sports & Office Manager

“The Spiideo system is extremely flexible, and is used in many different areas of sports video recording for both practice and competition”, says Patrik Olsson, CEO of Spiideo. “At the European Short Course Championships, our solution was successfully deployed in a very challenging realtime environment, with high demands on performance and quality to satisfy the needs of the swimming community”, Patrik Olsson continues.

During the week of competition more than 240 races and 40 hours of competition videos was captured by the Spiideo real-time multi-angle recording system, all with high performance HD/4K (V59 / Q16) cameras from Axis Communications. The material was then made available via the Spiideo web cloud service, and the optimized Spiideo iOS application.
