Improved drawing & collaboration with Spiideo’s presentation tools
At Spiideo, we’re committed to improving the entire video analysis workflow, from how footage is captured to how it is shared and utilised by coaches and players.
Spiideo Perform delivers a wide set of solutions to support this workflow, with one example being the drawing tools that enable coaches to pinpoint areas of focus and ensure that players are gaining useful insights from the footage being shared.
Available now to Spiideo Perform customers using the built in presentation tool, is the cloud save drawings feature. This allows coaching teams to collaboratively, in real time, create higher quality presentations, pre-populated with useful telestration overlays and markings, all ready to share or present.
Collaborative drawings within your Spiideo presentations
In presentations, all drawings are now automatically stored in the cloud, synchronized and updated in real-time. These changes will appear to other coaches (with access to the presentation) as they’re made, with no time wasted uploading and transferring presentation files back and forth between coaches.
In the presentation tool the user will see a new timeline at the bottom. Here, the user can select a time within the recording and use the drawing tools to add drawings, markers, spotlights, pauses etc. to a particular part of the clip. Using the timeline, the user can drag markings to move them to different parts of a clip or change their length.
As a result, multiple coaches can edit a presentation at the same time, each adding their own input to easily and effectively create insightful presentations – no matter where they are in the world – to share with their players.
The clips used in presentation can come from a set of different sources, e.g. from tags within a game or users can use Spiideo’s Data Explorer search engine to compile a sequence into a presentation.
Worth noting is that for for quick, on the go visualizations, e.g. when working with players individually, also non-permanent drawings are available for use in presentation “scribble” mode.
Building a complete sports analysis presentation tool
Sports on all levels around the world are currently experiencing an ongoing digital transformation, where a new generation of remote tools and workflows is enabled and used by coaches and players.
This has further been accelerated by Covid-19, as the world have grown used to new ways of working where collaborating with colleagues is always just a click away.
As a cloud-based sports analysis platform, Spiideo brings this next-level collaboration forward in all our tools, and in particular our presentation tools.
Our goal is to create the complete sports analysis presentation solution that allows users to make full use of not just video footage, but also the abundance of data that is generated by the players out on the pitch.
This comes not only from footage and data captured through Spiideo’s automated camera setup (and for instance the recently launched automatic game breakdown and player tracking enabled by Spiideo AutoData ), but also by the various other tools, technologies, and providers that our customers rely on.
Fundamentally it is about providing the right level of information at the right time and create context by combining video and data to present it in such a way that it becomes accessible, actionable and useful.
