PRESS RELEASE
NCAA, RQ+, and Spiideo Launch Centralized Video Platform for Field Hockey Officials
The NCAA, RQ+, and Spiideo have partnered to launch the RQ Video Vault, a new feature within the RQ+ platform that gives Field Hockey umpires seamless, on-demand access to game film. NCAA Field Hockey umpires are now the first officials in any NCAA sport to have centralized access to comprehensive game footage.
Integrated directly into the NCAA Field Hockey central hub, the RQ Video Vault equips umpires with a powerful tool to review plays, enhance decision-making, and elevate overall officiating quality. This initiative underscores the shared commitment of the NCAA, Spiideo, and RQ+ to better support and empower officials through innovative technology and resources. The footage powering the RQ Video Vault comes from the Spiideo operated National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) league exchange, much of which is captured by Spiideo’s automated multi-angle camera systems, already installed across NCAA Field Hockey venues.
The launch of the RQ Video Vault represents a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to provide NCAA Field Hockey officials with the best tools available to perform at the highest level. By centralizing access to game footage, we’re strengthening the central hub and reinforcing our dedication to officiating excellence across the sport.”
“This collaboration brings together cutting-edge video solutions and officiating expertise to create real value for umpires,” said Marty Abezetian, Head of Strategic Partnerships & Digital Products at RQ+. “The RQ Video Vault on the RQ+ platform delivers convenient, centralized access to footage, helping officials improve consistency and grow professionally while aligning perfectly with our mission to serve the officiating community.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with the NCAA, RQ+ and the NFHCA to make this innovative feature a reality for Field Hockey officials,” said Zac Brown of Spiideo. “Thanks to our partnership with NFHCA, the RQ Video Vault can leverage Spiideo’s advanced video capture and integration capabilities to empower umpires with instant, reliable access to game video, driving better officiating and supporting the continued growth of the sport.”
The RQ Video Vault is now available to eligible NCAA Field Hockey umpires through the RQ+ platform, furthering the collective goal of advancing officiating standards and laying the groundwork for future sports agreements and similar access and functionality.
