Spiideo & U.S. Soccer to enhance player & coaching development through video analysis
Spiideo is proud to welcome U.S. Soccer as a client to expand the availability of video footage for its national teams, player identification and coaching education departments.
The deal will provide all U.S. Soccer’s national teams – including the senior men’s and women’s sides, and all youth teams – with access to Spiideo Perform, a powerful and easy to use video analysis platform. Thanks to Spiideo’s vast footprint across North America, coaches will be able to access high-quality footage from national team training camps held across the country.
Staff will continue to be able to access video from league competitions such as the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), which utilize Spiideo League Exchange to record and share footage across the entire competition. As well as analysing the league performance of current players, this will also help U.S. Soccer’s coaching and analysis departments to identify new talent pushing for a place among the national team squads.
The technology will also be used to support those taking part in U.S. Soccer’s coaching education courses. Spiideo’s AI-controlled cameras have been deployed across the state of the art National Development Center’s turf pitches to provide instant access to video from training sessions to analyze as part of its educational programs. Likewise, video will also be made available to those participating in courses at venues across the United States where Spiideo cameras are available.
This will provide greater standardization across various departments through access to a platform that requires minimal technological skill or training to utilize. With less time and resources spent on manually filming, processing and uploading sessions, U.S. Soccer’s coaching, player identification and coach education staff will have more time to dedicate to improving playing and coaching standards within the sport.
“We’re thrilled to provide Spiideo to U.S. Soccer’s national teams and cutting-edge coaching education programs,” comments Spiideo CEO & Co-Founder, Patrik Olsson. “Already used by thousands of teams and federations, many U.S. Soccer players and coaches will be familiar with the benefits the platform can provide.”
