We’re delighted to announce that Spiideo has been named the winner of the “Innovation award” at the 2022 International Sports Convention’s awards.

This prestigious honor recognizes our commitment to continue to lead innovation and excellence in the sports video industry.

The motivation for winning this award was our partnership with Gothia Cup in 2022, during which we deployed 43 automated Spiideo camera systems to broadcast more than 2,000 games. Through this partnership, Gothia Cup, the world’s largest youth soccer tournament, was able to massively increase the number of games they were able to broadcast while still maintaining the high-quality viewing experience that their audience expects.

One of the key factors that set Spiideo apart was our AI AutoFollow and Spiideo Play tools, which ensure that every moment of the game is captured, together with the ability for competing teams to analyze with precision and accuracy. From the same cameras that were used for automatic broadcasts with AI AutoFollow controlling the broadcast feed, teams were able to use the Virtual Panorama video to view the entire playing field and see all players, which is necessary for analyzing plays.

Over 177,000 viewers tuned in to watch matches produced by Spiideo and streamed through the Gothia Cup app and website, demonstrating the impact and reach of our technology. Large-scale effortless automatic production is made possible with these innovative tools.
